Under a torrential downpour at a secluded, desolate bus stop, a female track athlete stands alone, waiting for the final bus of the night. The heavy silence is eventually broken by the arrival of a bespectacled young man—the quintessential “Otaku” in appearance. They strike up a friendly, casual conversation, but beneath the surface, there is a strange tension; they connect even as they maintain a distance, as if each is still anchored in their own separate world.
