On the surface, the town of Ouroboros appears just as peaceful as any other small countryside village in Japan: immaculate streets, friendly locals, and a slow, relaxing pace of life. However, as darkness falls, a terrifying reality begins to emerge. A series of mysterious, targeted attacks plague the local women, leaving behind chilling traces that do not belong to the human world—the unmistakable footprints of ancient Youkai (mythical demons).

With local authorities completely powerless and the police baffled by inexplicable crime scenes, a “Special” paranormal detective agency is called to intervene. These are no ordinary investigators; they are occult experts endowed with the rare ability to perceive what ordinary eyes cannot. Yet, their methods for suppressing these supernatural entities defy any traditional textbook. To gather evidence and seal away the rampaging demons, they must willingly accept a high-risk bargain, offering their own bodies as the ultimate collateral.
